Finantsinspektsioon has fined AS SEB Pank

Finantsinspektsioon fined SEB Pank 20,000 euros for disclosing banking secrets. The bank disclosed the bank account statement of a private person to a third party during bankruptcy proceedings without a legal basis for doing so, and in so doing committed a misdemeanour.

The deadline for payment moratoriums has been extended to the end of September

Following the decision of Finantsinspektsioon on 29 June 2020, the deadline for when banks may declare payment moratoriums and accept client applications for them has been extended from 30 June to the end of September.

The supervisory and misdemeanour proceedings carried out by Finantsinspektsioon to investigate compliance by SEB Pank with anti-money laundering requirements has ended. Finantsinspektsioon published the results at 16.00 on the 25th of June, on its website.
