Fraudulent telephone calls purporting to be from Finantsinspektsioon were reported this week. The calls come from the number 6970028 and say that an invoice currency exchange has been issued for the person who receives the call, and then offer invoice settlement services. Finantsinspektsioon states clearly that none of its staff use this number to make calls and it strongly recommends ignoring all such offers.

Scam emails are being sent out in the name of Kilvar Kessler, head of Finantsinspektsioon, from an address ending @ee-fi.com. The emails are frauds, and Finantsinspektsioon urges people to be vigilant and not to open such emails.
