The Finantsinspektsioon and Eesti Pank block has been declared the best green office for 2022 by the Estonian Association for Environmental Management.
Eesti Pank applied for the green office certification for the first time this year. Eesti Pank and Finantsinspektsioon set up joint working groups to handle the green office and other environmental and climate-related topics. Eesti Pank drew up an action plan for applying the green office principles, which cover target levels for environmental goals and measurements. Eesti Pank and Finantsinspektsioon assessed their own carbon footprint in 2020, and are one of the smallest green offices in Estonia to have produced a carbon footprint report so far.
Good practice at Eesti Pank can also be seen in the monthly Green Morning meetings that have been held for two years now, which are seminars on environmental topics for employees of Eesti Pank and Finantsinspektsioon. There are also ever-increasing numbers of employees who cycle to work at the institutions.
